It’s no secret that the Melodic Distraction staff have a lot of love for our Manchester friends over at Ad Hoc Records. With releases from Yadava, Two Tail and Taurtollo under their belt – the label now takes focus on its fourth release, dropping courtesy of the eclectic producer and label newcomer, Tommy Tickle.
Entitled, Shapes and Spaces, the EP explores themes of escape, healing and catharsis – with tracks navigating their way between jazz, house, UKG, soul and disco. Having not left the Rekordbox of Melodic Distraction residents, Aitman & Zaremba, all summer – this EP has been played everywhere from Northern Wales to the Albanian Rivera!
Closing with ‘The Ceiling’, Tommy Tickle invites listeners into a deep four-to-the-floor odyssey filled with rich, warming keys and lofty soulful vocals. Check out the Melodic Distraction premiere below.
