With a 13-track compilation on the way, in aid of homeless charity, Crisis, The Waveform Transmitter bring their launch party to the Baltic Triangle’s, District and new venue, The Yard on 15th July. A ten hour knees-up, jammed packed with some of Merseyside’s favourite house and techno selectors, the party features the likes of 303, Rosencrantz and Ryce Tyrell. Not to shy away from shipping in international talent, the team behind The Waveform Transmitter are also bringing Berlin’s Daniel Steinberg on board, in addition to Arms and Legs Records affiliate, Kristin Velvet and Fire in the Disco’s, Odette.
In 2016 alone, Crisis helped 10,000 people on their journey out of homelessness. Working to combat both rough sleeping and its causes, the charity, now in its 50th year, are researching practical solutions to eradicate homelessness in Britain. Active from within the homeless community, their bottom-up approach relies upon person-to-person exchange surrounding the individual experiences of unemployment, legal troubles, ill health and domestic abuse. The charity’s end goal? To one day become an obsolete entity, with changes to UK law that will safeguard all vulnerable citizens from falling into homelessness.
Featured artists on this debut release from The Waveform Transmitter include; Yousef, Daniel Steinberg, Mr. C, Lonya and many more. Complimenting this charity-focused album release, The Waveform Transmitter will be throwing a marathon party, with all proceeds heading straight for Crisis. With proceedings kicking off at Yard, before moving inside to District, punters will be able to dance their way through the day from six in the afternoon ‘til the clock strikes four.
Headlining the show, Arms and Legs Records head-honcho, Daniel Steinberg will bring the sounds of Berlin house and techno to Liverpool in what will be a debut city appearance. Having been remixed by the likes of Roman Fluegel, Derrick Carter, 808 State and Crazy P, Steinberg’s productions come accredited by some of the most pioneering producers in the culture.
Rising emphatically through the ranks of labels such as Arms and Legs, Kristin Velvet will be joining the line-up, offering support duties to her label boss and frequent collaborator. A cornerstone of Berlin’s underground clubbing milieu, Velvet brings a sense of dancefloor synergy to her sets, traversing genres whilst keeping audiences magnetised to her musical movements.
A third and final city debut, Amsterdam’s Odette will also be featuring on this internationally-minded line-up. With fans including Guy J and Kink, Odette’s releases on the likes of Visionroom, Up to Loft and Tuxedo Digital Records have seen her play out across everywhere from Holland to Ibiza.
Tickets are currently sitting pretty at £10 with a limited number being held for more on the door! Physical copies of the album can be purchased on the night with all proceeds from the party and the release going straight to helping combat homelessness in the UK.
