Melwood and Fallingfree bring their unique tones to Sound Food and Drink in Liverpool this February as the second date of their weekender together! This will be Melwood‘s second hometown show, and Fallingfree. bring their pop-punk sounds all the way up from Lancaster! Hot off the heels of their show at EBGBS in January, you can expect to see Crossroads UK make a return, this time being supported by Natalie and the Monarchy.
Liverpool’s own Melwood return for their second hometown show after a successful run of shows with Layover last September. Their last show in Liverpool saw them playing to a sold-out room in the Sound Basement and they’re coming right back to play a killer headline show which sees them introducing a brand new guitarist for his first gig with the band.
Having started up in mid-2017, Fallingfree had a solid year of delivering high energy shows across the UK which abruptly came to an end due to broken bones and growing up – after a short break, They are back pending the release of their debut EP ‘New Habits’
After returning from a 6 month hiatus this Liverpool based 3-piece bring their exciting brand of emo infused pop-punk that they’ve been working hard to refine. Playing shows in Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and beyond in early 2018 before their hiatus has made the return of this band widely anticipated across the local alternative scene.
Known across the Liverpool music scene for their frontwoman’s kick-ass approach to dealing with rude punters at the Zanzibar (which received coverage from GetIntoThis and Liverpool Echo News), Natalie and The Monarchy deliver striking performances that draw on incredible guitar riffs, playful melodies, meaty bass lines and foot-stomping, head banging rhythms all juxtaposed against ethereal beauty Natalie Papa’s powerful yet haunting lyrics and vocals. This band are a female-fronted rock powerhouse, with an important message and an unwavering commitment to delivering the best experiences; for themselves and for their fans.
Placed right in the heart of one of Liverpool’s busiest night life scenes, SOUND Food & Drink is the perfect place to run this event, where energy is encouraged and enjoying yourself is what it’s all about.
