Roots & Culture with Keith Marley (September ’17)

Keith Marley has been DJing on the Liverpool scene for over 20 years. His Roots and Culture radio show is strictly reggae and strictly vinyl, with each show dedicated to selecting tunes from across the genres of reggae.

Mainly known for spinning reggae and dancehall, Keith often ventures into funk, hip-hop, drum & bass, and deep house. His residencies include The Magnet, The Camel Club, The Shipping Forecast, Yard at District and Krasnapolsky in Copenhagen, playing alongside the likes of Don Letts, DJ Vadim, Andy Smith, Big Youth, Dillinger and Julian Marley. Keith also plays a number of festivals including Positive Vibration Festival of Reggae, Africa Oyé, both of which are based in Liverpool, and Soirée47 in South West France.

His opening show in September 2017 was an excursion into roots reggae, while his upcoming shows will focus on deejays/toasters, dancehall, dub, reggae from the 21s Century, as well as a show highlighting the influence of reggae on other genres of music, such as drum and bass, hip-hop and house.
